"Bats protection – a solution for healthy forests"

The project aims to involve the ngo-s in sustaining the local authorities that poses territories in natural or national parks with the view of promoting and implement the community acquis adopted by the National Strategy of protecting biodiversity in those areas.

Results: • Informing the biologists from 26 national and natural parks in the country and members of 26 environmental NGOs located in those areas about the European policies related to biodiversity protection in general and bats in particular;
• 1 set of measures to protect bats on the territories of the 26 target parks. The measures were elaborated in collaboration with NGO-s members and biologists of park administrations;
• Practical applications were carried out all around the target parks;
• The event "European Bat Night " was carried out at a national level with the scope of raising the awareness of people about the importance of bats in preserving biodiversity. The events was organised with the involvement of park administrations, local authorities and target NGOs.
